Friendly Paws
One goal of Friendly Paws is to allow residents of Assisted Living facilities to interact in a safe and fun manner with animals. Many of these residents had pets in the past and may no longer be able to keep pets where they’re currently living. We are bringing them the benefits of owning an animal without having to care for one.
A second goal is to raise awareness within the Assisted Living community of the goals and services of the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center and FACF as well as animal specific issues such as overpopulation and abuse.
