Microchip Clinics

Microchip clinics are done a few times a year at various locations in the Iowa City/Coralville Area.  The fee is nominal.

Micro chipping is a painless and takes just minutes. The microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice and is inserted into the animal with a hypodermic needle just like any other injection. The microchip cannot move around inside or be seen from the outside. Should the animal ever become lost, police stations, veterinarians, and animal shelters can scan it to obtain information stored in the chip and link them to the owner through a national database.
