Mobile Adoption

In 2008, with FACF’s support, the Animal Center launched a new mobile adoption program. Volunteers and animals from the Animal Center went “on the road” to various locations around Iowa City and Coralville.
Mobile adoptions mean more opportunity for the animals to meet potential adopters and it gives FACF the opportunity educate others about the serious pet over-population problem and other animal welfare issues that affect or community.
Mobile Adoption Van
In 2009 FACF purchased a new Ford Transit van to take mobile adoption and community education to the next level. The van is perfectly suited to load cat havens and accessories as well as cat and dog kennels to safely transport the animals and allows us to can take more animals on the road regularly.
